The other night I was overly excited when I went to see Idiot Glee and he said, “I’m gonna have Women come play with me on this next song.” Besides being a tweetastic musical occasion, the resulting collaboration was spectacular for a few reasons. First, Idiot Glee turns into this completely different artist with a full band behind him that made my jaw drop to the ground. It was like upgrading from a really kick-ass pack of legal fireworks, with the whistlers and safely grounded sparkler displays, to the often illegal sky-stretching explosions; entertaining to epic. Second, Women were all smiles backing their friend James onstage and each of them played different instruments than what they normally play during their own sets.
